Welcome!
Hello, I'm Jonesy. I really like the long 19th Century of France and want to share my thoughts, analysis, and comparison of everything as I read through books and go through art.
I love Rococo, Neoclassicism, and Romanticism, Jacques-Louis David being my favorite artist, however basic that is. I am not a Royalist, but I love learning about Marie Antoinette and the court order at Versailles. I have a fondness for Robespierre and Saint-Just. All of this started with my deep obessession with Les Misérables when I was 12! I'm currently learning French, albeit very slowly. Depending on my progress with that, perhaps I will post about it.
I am new to coding, so I'm still working details out. Expect this site to be changing quite frequently.
My only goal with this website is to update with some art analysis at least once a week and hopefully do a book review every month! I am in school though, so book reviews may be a little far apart.
